Rabbi Avraham Shmidman is a musmach of RIETS and the Chief Rabbinate of Montreal. For the past twelve and a half years he has served as the spiritual leader of Lower Merion Synagogue, the largest Orthodox synagogue in The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Before arriving at his current post he served as rabbi of Knesseth Israel Congregation in Birmingham, Alabama for nine years. Rabbi Shmidman has edited several Torah publications and written articles for a number of Jewish journals and magazines.
